Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown

Welcome to The Good Book Club podcast where we make all our book club meetings and bonus events available for listeners to enjoy. In this discussion we dive into Brene Brown’s “Braving the Wilderness: The Quest for True Belonging and the Courage to Stand Alone.” Brene tells us that “True belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are.” And in her book we discuss cultivating true belonging in our communities, organizations, and culture, and also the effect the high demand, high control aspects of the LDS have had on our ability to find community and self acceptance. This was a really interesting discussion with many personal experiences and stories shared. We know you’ll find it as wonderful as we did. This book club discussion was originally held on Sunday, June 11th, 2023.
