TGBC: The Demon Haunted World: Science As A Candle in the Dark

Welcome to The Good Book Club Podcast where we make all our bookclub meetings and bonus events available for listeners to enjoy. On this episode we feature our regular The Good Book Club meeting and discussion of Carl Sagan's wonderful book, "The Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark."

How can we make intelligent decisions about our increasingly technology-driven lives if we don’t understand the difference between the myths of pseudoscience and the testable hypotheses of science? Discussion leader Lynette tells us more about Pulitzer Prize-winning author and distinguished astronomer Carl Sagan who argues that scientific thinking is critical not only to the pursuit of truth but to the very well-being of our democratic institutions. This is an absolutely pivitol book and our discussion was fascinating as we shared a variety of insights and perspectives. This book club meeting was originally recorded on Sunday, October 8th.
