TGBC: Mountain Meadows Massacre Mashup

Welcome to The Good Book Club Podcast where we make all our book club meetings and bonus events available for listeners to enjoy. Today’s book club meeting featured a variety of books written on the topic of the Mountain Meadows Massacre. Prior to our bookclub meeting, a group of bookclub members spent the weekend at the actual site of the Mountain Meadows Massacre and learned a lot about the events from our guide, co author of “Vengence is Mine: The Mountain Meadows Massacre and Its Aftermath,” the wonderful Barbara Brown.  

These insights from the site, and other impressions gained from reading a variety of materials on the Mountain Meadows Massacre, made this a fascinating and important discussion that I’m sure our listeners will find as meaningful as we all did. Rebecca Bibliotheca is a mother of three boys, co-founder of "The Good Book Club," a virtual reading group for post and nuanced Mormons, cohost of "Mormon Media Reviews," and leader of the "Mormon Stories Book Club." She has a Masters of Library and Information Science from BYU and worked for many years at the BYU Library. She and her husband also founded a youth theater program that is in its 19th year. Rebecca loves the theater, reading, film, spending time outdoors, church watching and iced coffee.
