Unexpected: The Backstory of Finding Elizabeth Smart and Growing Up in the Culture of an American Religion with Chris Thomas

On this bonus episode of The Good Book Club, we collaborate with Mormon Book Reviews to bring you a discussion with author Chris Thomas about his wonderful book, "Unexpected: The Backstory of Finding Elizabeth Smart and Growing Up in the Culture of an American Religion." Chris was thrust into the spotlight as the family media spokesman for the Smart family during their 91/2 month ordeal as they searched for their kidnapped daughter Elizabeth. Chris discusses the whirlwind of press and police, volunteers, negotiations and more as everyone worked to bring Elizabeth home again. His insider's look is something most of us can't even imagine. This was an excellent book and a riviting discussion. This bonue event was originally recorded on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023.
